Neither mean nor catty
In light of the recovery process in New Orleans, please donate what you can to www.redcross.org or at least keep a good thought for the folks who lived through Katrina.
Thanks.

Don't forget to check to see if your company (for those of you who are corporate) has a matching gift program.
(Yeah, M&C has a heart. Shh. Don't let it get around.)
If you want to do something more 'hands on' than sending cash, I found some local places to send stuff:
HERE’S A LIST OF ITEMS THAT YOU CAN DONATE:
towels, washcloths, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bottled water, new socks, disposable razors, shaving cream, soap, new underwear, nail files, non-perishable food, band-aids, hair combs/brushes, tampons/pads
And you can send boxes of these items to:
Bass Memorial Academy
6433 Hwy 1
Lumberton, MS, 39455
601-794-8561
Mobile, AL Warehouse
I-65 Dauphin Street
West Service Road
Mobile, AL 36601
Walmart 1102 E Admiral-Doyle Drive
New Iberia, LA 70560
405-612-4602
(New Iberia is northeast of New Orleans, I think. I've been through there, but never stopped.)
The donations will be dispursed in the states to where they are sent.
BTW...just call first to let the various sites know that stuff is coming... the postal business has been a little spotty, too.
