Insert 'Doctor Who' pun here

I couldn't come up with anything witty about the Tardis right off the top of my head.

But for those of you for whom sci-fi nerdiness intersects with Anglophilia, join me in the glee that is the new Doctor Who premiering on the SciFi Channel in March.

Christopher Eccleston, wheeeee!

What I need to know is do they begin, as they should in a the first/transitional episode, with the untimely end of the last Doctor (Paul McGann) and then the new incarnation, Mr. Eccelston. Or do they want to forget the American TV movie foray with McGann and Eric Roberts? Hahahahaha! Ew. I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. There's only so much English-ness and SciFi I can take these days without getting nauseous.

You bring up some excellent points. Don't hate yourself. I'd forgotten Eric Roberts played the Master. Ew. However, I am very interested to see how they deal with the Paul McGann issue b/c (1) I'd like to see that shot of one high-cheek-boned hottie morphing into another, and (2) the Doctor has an expiration date, i.e., the limited number of regenerations, and each time they recast, I am very curious to see if they're going to conveniently forget the logic of their own universe, in which case, phooey on them.

Next up on AngloSciPhiles: Best companion? Hands down, Sarah. Discuss.

Hmmm... I did like Sarah and I was fond of Teagan. But I think there is a very special place in my heart for Adric.

We all know who the best DOCTOR was, however!
