The only thing that worries me about this intellect-challenged man is that he's going to do something real -- to prove that he's Billy Bad Butt so that he can write about it. Because, I mean, wouldn't he just be silly enough to go there? "What? I faked that part about running over a cop? Okay, give me the keys to the Navigator..."
You bring up a serious point, tadmack. James Frey desperate is James Frey scary.
Well, not sure about the specifics here (since there is no precedent for a public Oprah smackdown of author) but in general when a publisher cancels a book contract the author gets to keep the advance money, which I'm thinking in this case is not exactly chump change.
Of course he's going to need it for the therapy bills no doubt.
...seriously. And I think Oprah's going to be billing him, too -- that was definitely gestalt therapy!
