Do we deserve such riches?
After a cruel, dull summer, both The Corpse Bride and Wallace and Grommit: The Curse of the Wererabbit are given unto us.

(Also, note to self: I'm in the wrong field. I want to be a stop-motion animator when I grow up.)

In August, after staring in dazed fascination at the whole penguin phenomenon, I made a date with the sibs - 10 & 13 - for the Wallace & Grommit thing. I think I can make enough excuses about scary content to see Corpse Bride alone... it's always helpful when claymation is scary so you don't have to take kids to make you look normal for watching cartoons...
Oh, I cannot wait for Wallace and Gromit. I have fond memories of seeing them at the Spike & Mike animation festival for the first time. I have no qualms about my incessant animation fixation. Woo! And Corpse Bride...well, despite that the commercials make it look like a rehash of Nightmare Before Xmas, and despite the somewhat creepy undying love of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (has anyone else seen that bizarre interview with both of them together?? very odd yet amusing), I'll probably see it. May have to rent it, though, esp. if Danny Elfman did the music again--Rob is not a fan of the Elfman.
